Breath

It brings tears to my eyes. Though I am an emotianal person, this bring real bittersweet tears through my throat and over the top of my forehead. I feel it to my toes. I think of the Amish, innocent to our corrupt world, wrenched into it with violence and perversion. And through this muck, the Amish rise above and bend to the power of God. They are more powerful than many groups that constantly seek power through violence and revenge. The choose to fogive and though I am sure they will feel the pain forever they do not waste time grudging an inexplicable act of violence. It is the purest expression of the Christian Faith I've ever seen. I pray that they are let to mourn in peace. I pray that they find the forgivness in thier hearts so Jesus can forgive them. I pray I find the forgivness in my heart and the images of dismembering the demon who did that deed.

This post was brought about by the thought of going through old expressions and finding their meaning and linking them to current events. The one that made me think of the recent violence against schools was "Might as well be hanged for a sheep as a lamb" Which we are to take as if the punishment is the same do the grander crime. Unfortunately it brings me back to the Christian imagery of the Shepard and lost sheep. If a person wants to commit sucide-- do it, just don't attempt the sick fantasies that are driving you to the end of the road...

The world is going to hell in a gasoline suit and no one has the sense to yell fire.
