FUTURE OF PARADISE

Good news. Our offer on a house was accepted. AND it requires only a month of living in the van down by the river! We saw many ridiculous houses for ridiculous prices in search of our little half a house (yes half a duplex) and break of willow trees. Considering that the condos behind Albertson's are 190,000 plus a monthly membership fee of 300 I think we found a good comfortable deal. If you go to the website for the condos you can look into the future of Paradise Valley. Over at my friend Martin's PDX apartments blog I see the prices for a one bedroom in Portland and I have decided to quit bitching. Then again, I still don't make the paltry money I was making in Portland here in Deadrock. I will show pictures when the deal gets closer too closing.

The Faithfully Ignored

I love plants, but I don't really do anything with them. I watch them and wish them well. I am getting better at watering and sometimes I even remember to fertilize. My efforts are bearing flowers. The snow is accumulating outside. The Christmas cactus I thought was dead for so long has 3 flowers on it. The jade plant and hens & chicks are really taking off too. Happiness is watching beautiful things grow and be healthy!

House painting bah humbug

So we are painting our little house and I am having great trouble picking the colors! I wanted sagy green base with black trim, red accents, and cream eves. It looks awful. dreadful really. The red is hunters orange the cream is yellow. So much for foxfire and ivory lyric. Take a look. Now what can I do with sage green base and black trim? Our new roof looks great though.
